Secretary’s Message

Mr. Tarun Kumar Jaggi
EUPCCI Secretary
Dear members,
Welcome to Eastern U.P. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prayagraj.
It is a proud privilege indeed to be a part, more so as the Secretary of an esteemed organization like the Eastern U.P. Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I tried to fulfil your expectations with full cooperation of all Members of our Council. During this period I, on behalf of the Chamber took up cudgels for the cause of the Traders and Industries especially MSME in the region at various forums. With the unparalleled support of Mr. Vinay Kumar Tandon, President, guidance from our Past President Dr. G..S. Darbari and Sri Anil Agarwal overwhelming support of Mr. Rajeev Agrawal (Honorary Treasurer), I had mobilized the resources of revenue for the Chamber to some extent which helped the Chamber in organizing some important events addressing perennial issues impending the growth of Prayagraj and the State at large. We have been able to attract the focus and attention of Central, State Government and local administration for the cause of Trade and Industry.
Recounting the results of our constant efforts in spite of the neglect of the Trade and Industry specially in and around Prayagraj has resulted into plight of industries, rise in the graph of crime rate, unemployment / under employment, loss of revenue to State Exchequer, indifference of those in the centre of power in our state or the Central Government towards issues related to Trade and Industry, we have organized number of activities at the Chamber with a goal of promoting Industries and Trade in the region and the State.
We also drew the attention of various politicians belonging to both State and Union Government towards setting up non-polluting industries for improving the industrial scenario of Prayagraj (Allahabad). This effort is expected to convert opportunities into generating jobs in plenty.
The Chamber expresses its gratitude to the Commissioner Prayagraj and District Magistrate for their efforts in resolving the grievances of trade and business community at Udyog Bandhu meetings. Issues of trade and industries were taken up forcefully by the Chamber with all the concerned Government departments. Many seminars were organized /co-organized to boost business and exports. Increased activities of the Chamber were widely covered by the Print Media.
With more and more interaction and valuable inputs/suggestions put forward by the members, the Chamber would become a strong and vibrant body in the field of commerce and industry where it will be our constant endeavor to work for the all-round welfare of the trade and business community in the region.
The above activities and their desired outcome were possible only with the support of all our friends at the Chamber with a special Mention to Mr. D.U.Gupta , Mr. Ravindra Gupta (Vice Presidents), Mr. Anil Agarwal former Secretary, Mr. Vikram Tandon (Joint Secretary), Mr. Naresh Roy, Mr. Rajiv Nayar, Mr. Rakesh Agrawal, and staff of the Chamber. My gratitude to Dr. G.S. Darbari & the President Sri Vinay Kumar Tandon.
Looking ahead I have a feeling that we can take the activities of our Chamber forward and add many more members to the Chamber’s fold spread all over the region, so that the Chamber may receive wider acclamation for its work and achievements. With the present Central Government, we find many corrective and transparent policies coming up which augurs well for the industrial development of the country.
Central Government initiatives and visions have showcased India’s potential to attract foreign investment. Linking Aadhar card for subsidies, opening of Bank Accounts and introducing many Skill Development schemes shall benefit the nation. Digital India Initiative, building up one to one relationship with world leaders and “Make in India” initiative is helping in infrastructural development. The economy of the Nation looks brighter and as such we can expect many more industries to come up paving way for a better future for Prayagraj, the state of Uttar Pradesh and for our country.
I shall continue to work sincerely and honestly for the members as well as to improve the industrial atmosphere in the region. I take this opportunity to seek your cooperation in my endeavor.
